Hypocrisy: the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform.

Oh hypocrisy, we meet again. You continue to show the true colors of so many individuals in this country. Kathy Griffin does something way out of bounds and the world cries. It was terrible, it was. It was traumatizing to his son, it was un-American, it was disrespectful. It was ALL OF THAT. I AM AGREEING WITH YOU. *wait for it* BUT this has been happening. Where was your American pride and respect when it was done to Obama? Oh wait. Y’all didn’t like him, so it doesn’t count right? It doesn’t matter that individuals had him swinging from a noose holding a watermelon. It didn’t matter that individuals were threatening his family. Calling them monkeys. No one was concerned with the mental state of his children or wife. No big deal right? “Oh but Dez, it wasn’t a celebrity or a public figure with a lot of followers doing it to Obama. It was a bunch of nobodies making idle threats.” Well first and foremost a threat is a threat, it shouldn’t matter if it’s a celebrity or not. But since you all seem to have amnesia let me drop a dime, Ted Nugent said he would chop Obama’s head off if re-elected. Where was the outrage? He was still the president. It was disrespectful, his children saw it, but no one was concerned for them. Former Republican Congressman posted:

He got retweets, likes and mentions of “Hell yeah” or “Let’s take back our country!” Now I know what you’re thinking, two wrongs don’t make it right. My point is, why am I only seeing outrage now? Trump has literally promoted hate and everyone is shocked that there are people that don’t like him. Uhhh, what? There’s a quote, probably one of my favorite from Malcolm X that states, “I’m for truth, no matter who tells it. I’m for justice, no matter who it’s for or against.” It’s so fitting because so many times I watch individuals speak up when the wrong doing only affects those they support. It’s pathetic. We are quick to belittle and ostracize individuals from other countries, but we have terrorist home grown on our soil that we never want to speak of. And for goodness sake, stop screaming all lives matter if you’re going to have so many different stipulations. All lives don’t matter if you’re excluding Muslims, trying to send people back to Mexico that are actually Americans and okay with black bodies laying in the street. We just had a hate crime occur that no one is even talking about. Second Lieutenant Richard Collins III, was stabbed to death because of the color of his skin. You know what, I take that back. This wasn’t a hate crime, this was terrorism. A white supremacist cut this mans life short. Richard was supposed to graduate from Bowie State University with his entire life ahead of him. Suited up for a country, to fight for a country that won’t even fight for him. When will it stop? This is dumb, all of this is dumb and I’m completely mind blown that it’s 2017 and I’m having to type what I am typing right now. America is supposed to be the land of the free, home of the brave. It used to be the place where individuals would go seeking equal opportunities. It’s like the more this year goes on the more we are trying to set the clocks 300 years back. It’s exasperating and I am exhausted. Stand up for ALL of your brothers and sisters. Stand up for what is right. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Spread some dadgum love y’all! It isn’t hard. You’ll be surprise how much your life will change when you completely remove the negativity.
