Do you see her? Look into her eyes.
Her soul is completely broken,
her outer appearance a disguise.
Do you see her? She’s crying out for you.
Her walls are quickly closing in, she’s become unglued.
Do you see her? She is so far removed.
No one seems to acknowledge, how much she’s been through.
But you do see her. So does everyone else.
It’s just that no one cares about anything but themselves.
Standing among individuals, many who are in need.
No one budges to lend a hand or do a good deed.
All so consumed in a materialistic realm.
It’s unfortunate that one cannot understand, from where does this stem.
So often we see things and turn the other cheek.
When in reality the greatest thing we can do is speak.
We speak for those who are afraid and feel they don’t have a voice.
We speak for those who believe silence is their only choice.
So here I am screaming to the mountains, to the clouds and the sky.
That I do see you and your tear filled eyes.
You don’t have to feel invisible,
you don’t have to feel alone.
Lay your burden down, you don’t have to face this on your own.
Initially when I wrote this I had no intentions of sharing, but I decided to go ahead and post it because it may be something someone needs to see. Whether your battling with school, relationships, work, or just life in general, you shouldn’t have to do it alone. I hope you find peace and clarity in whatever it is that you are going through.
